By #trending, Entertainment, Fashion, Featured, Google (Android), Our Gadgets of Choice, Tech, The Gadgent's Review

OMG! where have I been? probably under a rock somewhere on the East coast of the United States of America. I just found out that Google Glass is now available to the public. Talk about back to the way future, feels like we’re getting closer to living like those futuristic movies we grew up on. I wonder if Audi is working on the Audi that Will Smith drove in the movie irobot . Well that’s another story for another day, today is all about Google Glass, check out their amazing commercials for the $1500 product. Of course just like any other major tech release we suggest you wait for the future generation release, you might even see a price reduction.

Square Branches Out Into Food Ordering Service

By Apple, Google (Android), News, Tech

May 14, 2014

American mobile payments company Square has expanded its services with the launch of Square Order. Supporting businesses of all sizes and perfect for restaurants, the service allows users to pay for food pickups and tabs directly from their smartphones. Users simply locate their purveyor of choice using the app, place an order, and pay in advance; the app then alerts the user when the order is ready for pickup.

Though similar to other “order ahead” services, Square Order has a huge advantage in that it already supplies merchants with payment systems – meaning that since there is no third party involved, there are no additional fees associated with ordering food using the app. Square Order is now available to download from the App Store – as well as in beta form from Google Play – and is currently limited to San Francisco and New York City.

BMW i Solar Carport Concept

By Cars, Lifestyle, Tech

May 11th, 2014

In keeping with its quest for offering environment-friendly alternatives to its main line of vehicles, such as the i3 and i8, BMW unveils a brand new concept that takes efficiency a step further. Demoed in California by BMW Group DesignworksUSA, the carport is constructed using carbon fiber, bamboo (due to its quick-growing attributes), and features a roof made entirely out of solar panels. Made to supplement the Wallbox Pro charging system while taking some of the load off the grid, the Carport is nowhere near as powerful as the current wall charging system and is only really appealing to those who live in areas that are perpetually sunny. No news yet on if this will be an option for i-vehicle owners in the future, but it will be interesting to see what other automobile manufacturers come up with in terms of at-home charging solutions.

Call Of Duty Advanced Warfare

By Entertainment, Featured, Tech, The Gadgent's Review

May 9th, 2014
We anticipated that Black Ops 3 would be the next installment of the Call of Duty first person shooter game but we were wrong. Sledgehammer Games and Activision have officially unveiled Call of Duty Advanced Warfare. Although COD Ghost is a great game with an amazing plot for it’s campaign mode, in our opinion Treyarch (the developers of Black ops and Black ops 2) make a better game, or maybe we’re just fans of Zombies. But enough of the past, Advanced Warfare continues the futuristic progression of COD Ghost, the previews look a little Halo-ish but hey we won’t know until we actually play the game. The trailer reveals that the game will star Kevin Spacey of House of Cards, as the leader of a private military organization that has turned on the United States government. The game is set to release, as advertised on the video, on November 4, 2014. Good news if you don’t own a PS4 or an Xbox One, the game will also be released for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC as well. Enough talking lets take a look at the trailer.
